“Expect the unexpected, leave some prejudices behind and you’ll have a rewarding eighty minutes.”
– Richard Langton, Chiswick Times on Beyond Flesh and Blood
The Tabard Theatre and JC Theatre Productions is pleased to present the première of Beyond Flesh and Blood, a psychological thriller exploring the conflict between God and Sex inspired by the news story of Josef Fritzel’s cellar.
Christina regularly regains consciousness in her South London tower block not knowing who she is, how she got there, or what she has just been doing. Governed by opposing voices, the only constant in her life is Locust, a local environmentalist petitioning to save the giant sycamore tree on the estate. But what happens between him and the voices when they take over her mind and body…?
Beyond Flesh and Blood is a dark and uncompromising piece of theatre exploring the themes of salvation, love, memory, sex, insanity and identity.
“Writer Jason Charles turns the microscope on the fear and the inner turmoil of his characters and just like the cast he is fresh on the London stage”
